About the Role

The Savannah Buccaneers are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sponsorship Sales Associate to join our team. This individual will be responsible for generating revenue by identifying, developing, and maintaining corporate partnerships and sponsorships. The role involves both inside and outside sales efforts, with a focus on building long-term relationships with local and national businesses to support the team’s financial growth and community presence.

Qualifications:
-Proven experience in sales, preferably in sports sponsorship, advertising, or corporate partnerships.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
-Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented with a strong desire to succeed in a competitive sales environment.
-Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
-Experience working with CRM software to manage leads and track performance.
-Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game days.
-Strong networking skills with a commitment to building long-term business relationships.
-Knowledge of sports marketing, sponsorship trends, and event-based marketing is a plus.

Compensation:
Base salary plus commission structure.
Opportunities for bonuses based on performance and sales targets.

Requirements

  • Prospect & Lead Generation: Identify potential sponsorship opportunities by researching local, regional, and national companies that align with the Savannah Buccaneers' brand and values.

  • Sales Outreach: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and in-person meetings to pitch sponsorship packages to prospective partners. Maintain a high call volume to generate new business and follow up on leads.

  • Proposal Development: Create customized sponsorship packages that cater to the specific marketing needs of potential clients, including digital, in-arena, and community-based platforms.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners. Act as the main point of contact for all sponsor inquiries, ensuring clear communication and a high level of service.

  • Sales Documentation: Manage and update CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems with accurate and timely records of all sales activities, leads, and follow-up actions.

  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate sponsorship agreements, including terms, activation deliverables, and pricing. Work with the legal and finance teams to finalize agreements.

  • Activation & Fulfillment: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure sponsors’ contractual obligations are met. This includes managing signage, digital assets, hospitality, and other deliverables to provide maximum value.

  • Game Day & Event Support: Represent the team at home games and other events to facilitate sponsor engagement and networking opportunities, ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Community & Network Engagement: Attend local business and networking events to promote the Savannah Buccaneers and establish new business contacts.

  • Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, sponsorship inventory, and market trends. Provide feedback to management on potential new revenue streams and business development strategies.
